Recite 2 Soar Tajweed: How it Works

The Problem with Traditional Tajweed

Step 1:

Study Tajweed rules as theory (months of lessons about Noon Saakin, Qalqalah, Madd, etc.)

Step 2:

Practice these rules on sample words and phrases

Step 3:

Finally apply them to actual Quran memorization

The result?

❌ Students memorize verses with incorrect pronunciation because they haven't learned Tajweed yet
❌ When they finally learn Tajweed, they must "unlearn" and re-memorize everything they already know
❌ Tajweed feels like a separate subject disconnected from actual recitation
❌ Students can explain the rules but struggle to apply them naturally

How the Sahabah Learned the Qur'an

The Companions (رضي الله عنهم) didn't learn this way.

They received the Quran directly from the Prophet ﷺ with perfect pronunciation from the very first word.

  • They didn't memorize incorrectly and fix it later

  • They didn't study theory first and practice second

  • They learned the right way to recite WHILE they were memorizing

This is called "Talaqqi" — receiving the Quran orally, teacher to student, with correct application from Day 1.

The Recite to Soar Difference: Integrated Tajweed

At Recite to Soar Academy, we've built our entire methodology around this Prophetic approach.

1. You Learn Tajweed WHILE Memorizing

Every single verse you trace, repeat, and write includes correct Tajweed from the very first repetition.

You're not learning rules in isolation — you're applying them in context to the exact verses you're memorizing this week.

2. Your Teacher Applies Tajweed TO Your Pages

Instead of teaching you "Noon Saakin has 4 rules" in abstract terms, your Qaari/Qaariah takes the exact page you're memorizing and shows you:

  • "Here in An-Naba verse 5, you have Ikhfa — listen to how I hide the noon"

  • "Here in verse 12, you have Qalqalah on the ق — hear the echo?"

  • "Here in verse 18, the ر is heavy because it has a fatha — feel the difference?"

You hear it. You practice it. You repeat it correctly.

Week after week. Page after page. Term after term.

3. Repetition Creates Instinct

By the end of 9 months, you won't be thinking about Tajweed rules while you recite.

You'll be applying them automatically because your mouth, ears, and brain have practiced the correct way hundreds of times.

The rules become second nature — just like how you don't think about grammar rules when you speak your native language.

Our Tajweed Checkpoint System

Each week focuses on specific Tajweed rules that appear frequently in that week's page. These aren't abstract lessons — they're embedded directly into your daily practice.

How Weekly Checkpoints Work:

Monday-Wednesday: Daily Tajweed Focus
Each walkthrough video highlights 1-2 Tajweed rules in the verses you're memorizing that day.

Example from Week 1 (An-Naba 1-30):

  • Monday: Noon Saakin rules (Izhar & Ikhfa) — Your Qaari pauses at specific verses to identify the rule

  • Tuesday: Qalqalah letters — Emphasis on the echo sound in your voice recording

  • Wednesday: Heavy vs Light Ra — Compare your pronunciation to the Qaari's

Saturday: Live Group Checkpoint
Your Qaari reviews all 3 checkpoints from the week, corrects common mistakes, and answers questions.

Sunday: Individual Assessment
During your one-to-one recitation, the Qaari listens for this week's Tajweed focus areas and provides personalized feedback.

Your Tajweed Progress Card

Each week, you receive a progress update showing:

Mastered — You applied this rule correctly throughout
⚠️ Developing — You understand but need more practice
🔄 Review Needed — This rule needs focused attention

Over 21 weeks, this creates a complete Tajweed profile showing exactly which rules you've mastered and which need more work.

Why This Approach Works

The Science Behind It

This approach is rooted in how the brain forms motor memory.

When you practice something the correct way repeatedly, your brain creates strong neural pathways that make that action automatic.

When you practice something the wrong way first, you create neural pathways for the incorrect pattern — and then you have to work twice as hard to break the bad habit and rebuild a new pattern.

It's always easier to learn correctly from the beginning than to fix mistakes later.

That's why children who learn Quran young often recite better than adults who learned later — they formed the correct patterns early.

But it's never too late. Our method works for adults and children alike — because we're building the right pathways from your very first verse.

What this means for you...

You have come this far?

Day 1 Tajweed in Built

✅ You'll never memorize incorrectly — because Tajweed is built-in from Day 1

✅ You'll never need to "re-learn" — because you learned it right the first time

✅ Tajweed won't feel like a separate subject — it's woven into every verse you memorize

No Need to Re-learn
Woven In

✅ You'll recite beautifully without effort — because correct recitation is your default

Correct Recitation is Default

This is the Prophetic Way

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it." — Bukhari

He also said:

"Read the Quran in the way you were taught." — Abu Dawud

The Sahabah were taught with perfect recitation from the beginning.

That's exactly what we're giving you.

Not theory first. Not rules in isolation. Not "fix it later."

Correct recitation from your very first verse.

The way it was always meant to be learned.
